Register Now for SHOT 2011

With an outstanding SHOT program of academic sessions and special events, and the co-location of the HSS and 4S meetings, SHOT 2011 offers an unusually rich opportunity for academic and social discourse. We encourage you to register early because SHOT tours are very popular and sell out quickly. Once again this year, your registration fee includes a FREE continental breakfast on Friday and Saturday.

Your SHOT registration badge also will permit you to attend HSS and 4S sessions. However, if you are presenting at HSS you will need to pay a second special reduced HSS registration fee of $50. SHOT does not have a similar agreement with 4S, so if you are presenting at 4S, you will need to pay the full 4S registration fee.

When filling out the SHOT registration form, please print clearly so that we can process your registration promptly. It is especially important that your credit card number, phone number, and email address are legible. If you register as a SHOT member, please be sure that your membership is current or you will be charged the non-member rate. If necessary, you can retrieve your membership number here or renew your membership here.

You can pay for your registration by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or by a check made payable to the “Society for the History of Technology.”

The conference registration form is available here as a PDF.  Please print, complete, and either mail or fax the form to SHOT. We cannot process email registrations. As we did last year, we are using a Post Office box for the annual meeting registration rather than the usual SHOT office mailing address. The deadline for early registration is 1 October 2011. If you are on the program, you must register by 15 October to guarantee your place; after that date, you will no longer be listed in the program. The SHOT office will confirm your registration by email and provide a printed receipt when you collect your conference packet in Cleveland.
