About ENVIROTECH: Envirotech is a special interest group within the Society for the History of Technology (SHOT) and focuses on the interrelationship of technology and nature. The group meets twice a year atthe meetings of SHOT and the American Society for Environmental History (ASEH).
Since the early 1990s, “nature and technology” have received greater attention in conference presentations, journals, and monographs by historians of technology and environmental historians. The group explores ways to investigate this intersection and support researchers in this inquiry.
