SHOT Singapore Event – THATCamp
We invite you to participate in SHOT’s second THATCamp (“The Humanities and Technology Camp”), a collaborative “unconference”. This one-day event will be held on the day before the SHOT conference starts, June 21st 2016.
The ethos of a THATCamp is that participants collaboratively decide, on the day, how the camp will unfold. This year’s theme, inspired by Singapore as an educational hub, is “pedagogy” – a subject that holds many possibilities for learning and working together.
We invite participants to propose discussions, demonstrations, or working sessions they could contribute to, and/or would find useful. There will be no formal presentations. The atmosphere of the meeting will be egalitarian and informal; we welcome participants of all levels and backgrounds with enthusiasm for the topic.
The event will take place at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) on June 21st 2016, from 9am to 5pm (directly preceding the main SHOT conference). There will be a bus for SHOT members from the main conference venue. If you are travelling from elsewhere, SUTD is accessible by public transit. (directions: http://sutd.edu.sg/About-Us/Contact-Us)
Participation in this meeting is free, but please register in advance. We have some logistical constraints but will try to accommodate everyone who’s keen to come.
Please see our website http://shot2016.thatcamp.org/ for more information, to register, and, if you feel inspired, to propose a session!
We look forward to welcoming you and collaborating together,
Ellan Spero, Catelijne Coopmans, Eric Kerr
