University of Strathclyde (Glasgow): Doctoral Studentship INSPRE Program
The Centre for Interdisciplinary Sustainable Practices of Research in Energy (C-INSPRE) offers a holistic educational experience tailored to the growing demand for well-rounded practitioners of renewable energy, energy policy, and environmental impact assessment. The History Department in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) is offering one doctoral studentship in the INSPRE program.
The candidate will have a strong undergraduate and postgraduate background in the history of science and technology and/or science and technology studies and will engage in interdisciplinary research across all four faculties of the University of Strathclyde. The candidate will be registered in the PhD History program, supervised by Dr. Matthew N. Eisler , and co-supervised by other INSPRE principals in the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, and Strathclyde Business School. The candidate will engage in a program of interdisciplinary research of their choosing and that addresses themes at the intersection of energy, environment, and public policy.
