Long and Short-term Fellowships at the Science History Institute
The Beckman Center for the history of chemistry at the Science History Institute in Philadelphia, PA, USA, invites applications for paid postdoctoral, dissertation-writing, and short-term fellowships. We award around 20 fellowships on an annual cycle to an international group of scholars who either research our collections or study chemistry, chemical engineering, or the modern life sciences from a humanistic perspective. We offer all fellows a competitive stipend and extensive outreach opportunities. Long-term fellowship awardees will also receive grants towards research and travel expenses.
The Institute’s collections range chronologically from the 15th century to the present and include archives, rare books, oral histories, graphic materials, ephemera, and a large artifact and fine arts collection. You can explore them at sciencehistory.org/collections.
Applications are due February 3, 2019. For more details, please visit: sciencehistory.org/fellowships/apply-for-a-fellowship.
