Speculative Spaces: (Re)presenting Global Architectural HistoryMay 22-23, 2025 | Online via Zoom The Society of Architectural Historians invites graduate students and emerging professionals to apply to participate in the virtual SAH/GAHTC Teacher-to-Teacher Workshop, “Speculative Spaces: (Re)presenting Global Architectural History,” exploring how the practice of speculative narration and imaginative storytelling may be used to redress history’s failures. The two-part program will take place on Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM CDT each day. Full program details, including a schedule of events, are available on the SAH/GAHTC Teacher-to-Teacher Workshop program webpage. The workshop is limited to 30 participants. Applicants interested in participating must submit a statement of interest (up to 200 words) and a two-page CV through the SAH online portal. The deadline to submit an application is April 16 at 11:59 pm Central Daylight Time (CDT). Those who have never logged in to the SAH website will need to create an account. Applications are open to participants both in North America and around the globe to create a more international group of participants. SAH membership is not required to apply, but participants are required to join SAH if they are selected and are not a member by May 21. Portions of the workshop will be recorded, therefore all participants will need to agree to be recorded. Applications will be reviewed by the workshop organizers, with a focus on selecting those who would benefit most from participating in the workshop. The 2025 SAH/GAHTC program is organized by Lisa Beyeler-Yvarra (Yale University) and Jacquelyn Sawyer (Cleveland Museum of Art). |
