At the core of the Italian industrial area in the 20th Century, rich in historic sites, Milan is famous worldwide for its design and fashion industry and the most active centre in Italy for research in the techno-sciences.
The conference will be hosted by the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, the largest science museum in Italy, in the very heart of the city and in walking distance of most tourist attractions, including Leonardo’s Last Supper. 2019 will be the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death. Special events will be organized in the museum and in the city, where he carried out some of his most important work.
Milan has three international airports and is very well connected by high speed trains to some of the most famous Italian cities of art: Turin, Venice, Bologna Florence, Rome.
A rich menu of visits and tours will be organized to satisfy cultural, technological and industrial interests on such themes as Leonardo, design, the food industry, aviation and automobiles, 19th and 20thC industrial sites.
