New titles this year included adding Kalle Kananoja’s Healing Knowledge in Atlantic Africa – Medical Encounters, 1500–1850 to Global Health Histories. Mark A. Waddell’s Magic, Science, and Religion in Early Modern Europe joined our course book series New Approaches to the History of Science and Medicine. Ofer Gal’s textbook The Origins of Modern Science – From Antiquity to the Scientific Revolution published in February.  We also published Peter J. Bowler’s new book Progress Unchained – Ideas of Evolution, Human History and the Future and a revised and updated edition of Jacques Pépin’s acclaimed The Origins of AIDS.  Congratulations to Laurence Monnais on winning the 2021 EAHMH book prize with The Colonial Life of Pharmaceuticals – Medicines and Modernity in Vietnam.  We also added to our collection of Open Access books with Elizabeth T.
