Joy Parr, 2018 da Vinci medalist, passes away
SHOT is greatly saddened by the passing of Professor Joy Parr, a luminous member of our community.
Joy Parr’s exceptional scholarship earned her many awards throughout her career, including SHOT’s 2011 Edelstein Prize for Sensing Changes:Technologies, Environments, and the Everyday, 1953-2003 (University of British Columbia Press, 2010). In 2018 SHOT awarded her the da Vinci Medal, you can find the citation here.
