Partnership Opportunities for our Annual Meeting 2025

 We are pleased to provide you with the following opportunities for book exhibits, advertising, and recognized sponsorship at SHOT’s 2025 Annual Meeting. We hope that you will be able to join us as a partner of our first fully hybrid annual meeting. To ensure that we can best fully acknowledge your sponsorship, it will be best to please contact us by September 5, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.

 9-11 October 2025: SHOT Annual Meeting Luxembourg (Europe)

We anticipate 250-350 attendees. The meeting will have 90 sessions and plenary events.

The Society for the History of Technology (SHOT) was formed in 1958 to encourage the study of the development of technology and its relations with society and culture.

We have several ways for you to connect with our members at our conference, as listed here:

Book Exhibition:

During the SHOT Annual Meeting, SHOT will be hosting a physical book exhibit. We invite displays and/or sales of books and journals. The book exhibit will be centrally located close to the main conference desk and will be the main space where attendees will gather for coffee breaks, offering excellent opportunities for interaction. You will be able to build your exhibit on the day of the official opening, between 9AM and Noon, with breakdown on Saturday 6PM.

 Book Exhibit Tables:

This package includes: One exhibit table and chair at the SHOT Annual Meeting (see further details at bottom);
Name and Logo featured on SHOT Annual Meeting sponsorship webpages;
One registration included to attend the SHOT Annual Meeting (value $250);
Access to all of SHOT’s Coffee breaks.

Register a second person representing your organization

If you wish to have your books, journals, or promotional item on display but cannot send a representative to Luxembourg, please contact us at [email protected] and we can discuss options for us to staff a book-exhibit table for you.

Joint Book Display:

Display one book, journal, or promotional item at the joint display table at the SHOT Annual Meeting;
Your organization’s name will be featured on the sponsorship list on the SHOT conference webpages.

Please note that SHOT is not able to return books after the meeting. We will auction off books from the joint display at meeting’s end, with proceedings supporting SHOT’s travel fund for graduate students.

 IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR BOOK EXHIBITORS:

SHOT provides, per booked Exhibit table: 1 large table, 1 draped linen, small trash can, chair. Access to the SHOT Coffee breaks for one representative, plus the possibility to attend SHOT conference sessions (except for the Opening, Da Vinci, special events and/or Receptions). Your exhibit fee also includes: 1. existing lighting. 2. standard heating and/or air conditioning. Set up and dismantle days are within the SHOT meeting schedule.

Exhibit Rental does not include: 1. drayage 2. decoration 3. labor 4. guard/security service 5. cleaning or janitorial services 6. electrical power or set-up (beyond normal use, as determined by Venue) 7. gas (beyond normal use, as determined by Venue) 8. water (beyond normal use, as determined by Venue) 9. Handling of and/or receiving packages 10. pre or post storage beyond the week prior to the meeting
