SHOT Elections 2025 – VOTE NOW
Dear SHOT Members, Dear SHOT community,
I was wonderful to see so many of you in Luxembourg. The vibrancy of the meeting, makes clear how important the SHOT is to us all. One of the most important things you can do to support SHOT is to vote.
It is now time to vote on your representatives to serve on the Executive Council and other key committees. Please take a few minutes to read through the candidate profiles and then login to our online voting system. You can vote online until Sunday 23 November 2025, 11:59 pm, Central European Time. (Please see the end of this newsletter for instructions on how to vote by email or regular mail.)
SHOT depends on the commitment of its volunteer committee members, both elected and appointed. In the coming weeks, as I work on filling the open slots on SHOT’s other committees, please let me know if you are interested in serving the Society.

SHOT Elections 2025
This year’s ballot includes candidates for the Executive Council, Nominating Committee, and Editorial Committee. Please note that only SHOT members are allowed to vote.
To renew your membership please click here or contact the SHOT Secretariat for assistance.
- Executive Council: The Executive Council is SHOT’s governing board and works with the Society’s officers to plan and set policy. Members of the Council serve for three years.
- Nominating Committee: The Nominating Committee is responsible for selecting individuals to run for office and preparing the slate of candidates for each year’s election. Members of the Nominating Committee serve for three years.
- Editorial Committee: The Editorial Committee works with the editor of Technology and Culture in addressing questions relating to the operation of the journal. Members of the Editorial Committee serve for five years.
