Covid-19 Information

As SHOT is looking forward to finally welcome the history of technology community on our in-person meeting in New Orleans, we continue to prioritize the safety of our participants, volunteers, and staff. Both SHOT and our community of participants need to take new precautions when planning how we come together again in person.

SHOT is continuously monitoring local and (inter)national guidelines and regulations relating to COVID-19. The changeable nature of the pandemic makes it difficult to predict what to expect in November. SHOT will take as many precautions as needed to create a safe meeting environment. In the coming months we will update our COVID-19 policy.

We will require that all in-person participants, volunteers, and staff-members are fully vaccinated and boosted.

• For US-based attendees, this means three doses of Moderna or Pfizer; two doses of Johnson & Johnson; or one dose of Johnson & Johnson plus a booster dose of Moderna or Pfizer, all completed at least 14 days prior to arrival.
• For international attendees, the documented vaccine/booster must be among those approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization.

Masks are well documented as the single most effective technology for preventing infection. Masks must be worn, fully covering your nose and mouth, at all times when in the indoor SHOT event space. At our Staff desk some spare masks will be available.
