Dear SHOT Community,

SHOT and our host the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History are making every effort to make the 2025 Annual Meeting an inspiring experience. Now more than ever, we feel it vital to be together and hope that you will join us in person. But if you can’t, the first class facilities at the University of Luxembourg will enable us to be fully hybrid.

We will continue to provide more details as soon as they are available.

• It is now possible to register for the conference. Go to the registration page.
• It is now possible to apply for travel grants. You can find all information and links to the online forms here. The deadline for applications is 20 August 2025.
• You can find the program (version 9 July) of the SHOT 2025 Annual here. Please note: we will regularly update the program.
• The Program Committee has reviewed all proposals! Our members’ enthusiastic response to this year’s call for papers delighted us, and we acknowledge the effort you put into your proposals. We received proposals for complete sessions and individual papers that far exceeded the available time slots. We found some additional rooms in consultation with our local organizers, and the Program Committee adjusted the conference schedule to accommodate more participants. Unfortunately, we faced the difficult task of being highly selective this year, and the Program Committee declined some proposals for this year’s meeting. Next year, we will hold a virtual meeting, and we anticipate more space in the program and a wider variety of opportunities to engage with each other’s scholarship.
• All notification emails have been sent. Everyone who submitted a proposal should have received an email about the program committee’s decision. If you have not received an email, please contact the SHOT secretariat. Note: Emails may have ended up in your spam folder.
• If the information in the program is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know by email ([email protected]) so we can correct it. At the moment we are updating the program. An updated version of the conference program will be available Wednesday 9 July.
