Dear SHOT Community,
SHOT and our host the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History are making every effort to make the 2025 Annual Meeting an inspiring experience. Now more than ever, we feel it vital to be together and hope that you will join us in person. But if you can’t, the first class facilities at the University of Luxembourg will enable us to be fully hybrid.
On travel arrangements: If you are thinking about travel, we hope you will keep in mind that airfares to and from Europe and other travel costs are generally at the lowest in October. We have already reserved room blocks at hotels and hostels nearby. Our colleagues at C2DH try their best to offer limited travel support to early career scholars & students and colleagues from Global South destinations. Also, SHOT members will be working hard to raise funds to provide additional travel support.
As eager as we are to see you in person, please remember that you will be able to propose virtual sessions and that next year’s SHOT meeting will be virtual.
We will continue to provide more details as soon as they are available.
Debbie Douglas, SHOT President
Jennifer Karns Alexander, SHOT Vice President
Amy Bix, SHOT Treasurer
Jan Korsten, SHOT Secretary

Update 17 April: It is not possible anymore to submit proposals for the 2025 Annual Meeting. We are very pleased with the large number of proposals that has been submitted. Thanks for your efforts! In the coming weeks the Program Committee will review all proposals. We expect to publish the first draft version of the program late May. We will then also inform everybody that submitted a session or individual paper proposal on the Program Committee’s decisions.
